Spinnaker Hotel

The Spinnaker is a located in Gourock on the main coastal road between Greenock and Largs.

The Spinnaker is a charming waterfront listed property only 40 minutes west of Glasgow Airport.

We offer a warm welcome, fabulous views, great food and really comfortable accommodation. The hotel comprises of 9 bedrooms ranging from our cosy box room at the rear to our gorgeous large ensuite rooms at the front overlooking the River Clyde. Our nearest golf course is a 5 minute drive away.

Start the day with breakfast cereal or porridge, fresh fruit, yoghurt, patisseries, orange juice, tea/coffee up to a full Scottish which can include slice sausage, haggis, black pudding and potato scones – enough to fill most golfer’s appetites.

On returning to the hotel after shooting several shots under par, hopefully, you’ll have the option to enjoy some friendly hospitality, discuss with the locals how easy the wonderful game of golf is, eat from our wide range lunch/evening food menu, select from 12 draught beers/premium lagers or one of the many Scottish Malt Whisky’s. Fresh coffee and soft drinks are also readily available.

The hotel is a 10 minute walk into the town centre where a number of other restaurants, bars, coffee shops and locally owned businesses offer a wonderful range of choice in their own unique way. The Gourock Pool is only 1 of 2 heated outdoor salt water swimming pools left in Scotland. It is open in the warmer months of the year and attracts visitor from all over the country. It’s complimented by the indoor leisure and fitness gym for anyone looking to keep up their fitness levels while on holiday. 18 holes of golf should be enough though.

For anyone wishing a day away from golf Gourock is a great location to have as a base. There are 2 ferry terminals close to the Spinnaker that cross to Argyll, Gourock train station is a 10 minute walk away where transport to Glasgow city centre is frequent. On our door steps we several places and points of interest – at Lyle Hill the Free French Memorial, Granny Kempock Stone, Tower Hill, Cloch Lighthouse, Lunderston Bay and the local visitors centre.
